UP Electricity Bill Waiver Scheme 2024
The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the launch of the UP Electricity Bill Waiver Scheme. Through this scheme, citizens will have to pay a bill of only ₹200. If the citizens’ bill is less than ₹200 then the citizens will have to pay the original bill only. The benefit of this scheme will not be provided to those citizens who use AC, heater, etc. of more than 1000 watts. The benefit of UP Bijli Bill Mafi Yojana will be provided only to those consumers who use only a fan, tube light, and TV.
Only domestic consumers who use only 2 kilowatt or less electricity meters will be eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme. The benefit of this scheme will be provided to the citizens of small districts and villages. Electricity bills of approximately 1.70 crore consumers will be waived through this scheme.
