Kirti Yojana:- The Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister launched the Kirti Yojana in Chandigarh for the youth of the country on March 12. During the launch of the Kirti Yojana at Sports Complex-7, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said that there should be a plan to select the players from the Prime Minister’s list from their youth, train them and prepare them to win medals, keeping in mind their thinking. The scheme has been started. Through Kirti Yojana, efforts will be made to identify talent from every corner of the country and players will be provided a common platform to showcase their talent.
Khelo India Kirti Yojana 2024
To find and improve the talented players of the country, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has launched the Kirti Yojana in Chandigarh on March 12. The full form of the Kirti Scheme is Khelo India Rising Talent Identification (Kirti). Kirti is an ambitious nationwide program under the Khelo India Mission for the country’s athletes in the age group of 9 to 18 years i.e. school-going age. Which will try to identify talent from every corner of the country using IT tools and provide a common platform to showcase the talent.
Talent will be identified through fame. They will be groomed. And in the next few months, this scheme will be implemented in every district of the country. The Central Government has created infrastructure worth Rs 3000 crore in the last 10 years. Apart from this, 1075 Khelo India Centers have been opened. Through Kirti Yojana, work will be done to find players and improve them by training them.
Objectives of Kirti Yojana
The main objective of starting the Kirti Yojana the Central Government is to promote sports in the country, to select players, train them, and prepare them to win medals and to provide a platform for the players to leave their mark in the sports world so that the talented players of the country can They can be explored and improved. Through this scheme, players will be searched and given sports training. Due to this, the players will bring glory to themselves and the country by showcasing their sporting talent at the national/international level. This scheme will help in identifying the talented players of the country and make them eligible to win medals.
Eligibility for Kirti Yojana
To apply under the Kirti Scheme, the candidate must be a citizen of India.
Youths between 9 to 18 years old can apply under this scheme.
Youth applying must be interested in sports.
School-going youth will be eligible for this scheme.
Young players of all castes will be eligible to apply under this scheme.
