Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana Registration 2024
The Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana aims to distribute smartphones to approximately 1.35 crore female heads of Chiranjeevi families, along with providing 3 years of internet connectivity. The distribution process is divided into two phases:
1. In the first phase, assistance will be provided to around 40 lakh women to choose a smartphone of their own preference.
2. Following the completion of the first phase, the state government will initiate the second phase, assisting 95 lakh women in purchasing smartphones.
To register for the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana (IGSY), eligible women need to visit their nearest organized at various locations across the state. At the Mehngai Rahat Camp:
– e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) will be conducted.
– An e-wallet app will be downloaded on your phone.
– Rs. 6800 will be provided to each female beneficiary through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode via the e-wallet app.
– Beneficiary females can choose a smartphone from any branded company.
– Females are also allowed to choose a SIM card and an internet data plan according to their preference.
