Goa University Research Studentship 2025

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be a full-time Ph.D. research scholar
• have confirmed Ph.D. registration at Goa University
• have at least a second class at the graduate level
• hold a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% or equivalent grade from Goa University or any other institution recognised by Goa University
• have completed no more than 8 terms on the date of application
• not hold any other scholarships or studentships

The selected candidates will receive financial assistance to carry out their research work.

Note:-

• The fellowship is awarded for an initial period of two years.
• Continuation for a third year is possible based on a committee’s recommendation to the vice-chancellor. To be considered for renewal, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Demonstrate significant progress in their research work.
  • Have at least one publication in a journal included in the UGC CARE list.
• Candidates must apply for a second-year continuation. This application will be assessed based on their research guide’s recommendation regarding the research quality.
• Recipients are required to return the fellowship amount if their Ph.D. registration is terminated or they cannot complete the program. In such cases, a formal agreement outlining the repayment terms is mandatory.

• Ph.D. registration proof

Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to ‘Register’ (Note:- If already registered, log in using the registered email ID.)
Step 3: Read the details carefully and download the application form.
Step 4: Students must submit the application form along with certified copies of the required documents to their respective research guide. The research guide will then forward them to the directorate office.
