Free Tablet Yojana 2024: Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme has been started by the Uttar Pradesh government to connect every youth of the country with digital education and to solve their education-related problems. Through this scheme, the target has been set to distribute free tablets and mobiles to the meritorious students studying in higher educational institutions of the state. This scheme will be started in the state under UP DG Shakti Yojana.

Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme has been launched by the Uttar Pradesh government. Through this scheme, tablets and smartphones will be distributed to meritorious students by the Uttar Pradesh government. Students of graduation, post-graduation, technical, diploma, skill development, paramedical nursing, etc. will be given the benefit of this scheme. Under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme, mobiles and tablets will be distributed free of cost to students studying in higher educational institutions for the next 5 years. Tenders were passed by the Uttar Pradesh government in April to purchase 10 lakh tablets and 25 lakh smartphones. An amount of Rs 3600 crore was sanctioned for this scheme.

> Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme was launched to provide digital education to the youth of Uttar Pradesh.
> Through this scheme, free smartphones and tablets will be distributed to 35 lakh students studying in higher educational institutions of the state.
> With this, the youth can be technically empowered and along with this, employment opportunities can be provided by promoting skill development.
> Uttar Pradesh Development System Corporation Limited is the Noida agency of this scheme.
> In the first phase of this scheme, a target has been set to provide tablets or smartphones to one crore students.
> The facility of digital access has also been provided in this scheme by the Uttar Pradesh government.
> Any kind of obstruction in their studies can be removed so that they can concentrate on their studies without any problem.
> Meritorious students will not have to pay any fee for getting smartphones and tablets.
> Through the digital process, students will be able to solve education-related problems and become technically strong and self-reliant.
Eligibility
> To avail of the benefits of this scheme, one must be a native of Uttar Pradesh.
> Under this scheme, both boys and girls of the state will be eligible to apply.
> The student should have studied in graduation, post-graduation, technical education, health education, diploma, skill development, and training.
> The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 2 lakh.
> Students who have previously received tablets and smartphones under any type of scheme will not be eligible for this scheme.
