AYUSH Scholarship Scheme 2025-26 is an opportunity provided by the Government of India through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) to students pursuing Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopath (AYUSH) courses in Indian institutions/universities/colleges. Selected scholars will receive a monthly stipend of ₹43,500 along with other benefits such as airfare and health insurance to help cover the costs of their education in India.
Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of admission
- have finished 12 years of schooling with subjects physics, chemistry, and biology for a bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, Siddha Medicine and Surgery, Unani Medicine and Surgery, or Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery
- have finished 12 years of schooling for a B.Sc. in Yoga and B.A. in Yoga Shastra.
- hold a respective bachelor’s degree recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) for a Master’s degree in Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani OR
- hold a respective bachelor’s degree recognised by the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH) for a Master’s degree in Homeopathy OR
- hold a respective bachelor’s degree recognised by CCIM for a Ph.D. degree in Ayurveda and Unani

Benefits
The selected candidates will receive:-
- Living Allowance:
- A monthly stipend of ₹18,000 for undergraduate degree students
- A monthly stipend of ₹35,000 for first-year master’s degree students
- A monthly stipend of ₹38,000 for second and third-year master’s degree students
- A monthly stipend of ₹43,500 for Ph.D. degree students
- Rent Allowance:
- A monthly allowance not exceeding ₹6,500 in cities of Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Chennai (as per actual)
- A monthly allowance not exceeding ₹5,000 in other cities
- Annual Contingent Grant:
- ₹4,500 for undergraduate degree and diploma (yoga) students
- ₹12,000 for Ph.D./MD/MS degree students
- Thesis and Dissertation Expenses:
- ₹10,000 for Ph.D. degree students
- ₹7,000 for MD/MS degree students (submission of project required)
- Two-time airfare in economy class by the shortest/cheapest route
Note:-
- Airfare will be provided to scholarship recipients twice: upon admission and upon graduation.
- Airfare will cover travel from the recipient’s home country’s capital to the airport nearest to the institution in India.
- The respective Indian Mission will provide airfare at the time of admission, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) will provide it at graduation.

Eligible applicants can follow these steps to apply:-

Step 2: Click on the ‘Register‘ button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to ‘Register‘. (Note– If already registered, log in using the registered email ID.)
Step 3: Navigate to ‘Registration’ on the top right side of the page and click on ‘Applicant Registration’.
Step 4: Fill in the required information and click ‘Submit’ (Note: If the applicant is already registered, log in with valid credentials.)
Step 5: Navigate to the bottom of the page to log in with valid credentials.
Step 6: Select the ‘Yes’ option for ‘Are you an applicant?’, then select ‘Ayush Scholarship Scheme’ and ‘2025-26’ from their respective drop-down options.
Step 7: Enter the captcha and click on ‘Submit’.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit the application.

Terms and Conditions
- No requests for a change of course will be considered.
- Candidates must accept or deny the admission offer within 15 days of receiving it.
- Applicants must rank five institutions in order of preference in the application. In case seats are unavailable in a particular institution, the Ministry of AYUSH will be responsible for allocation to another available institution.
- Candidates are responsible for laboratory, chemicals, and other incidental charges.
- Reimbursements of allowances will be settled in the current fiscal year. Reimbursement requests from any previous year will not be accepted.
